Last Saturday our pack helped with the local Adopt-A-Park Day at a local metropark. We cleaned out honeysuckle. These plants were introduced from the orient and apparantly love our soil and climate. Problem though - the suck all the nutrients out of the ground and grow up and around other natural plants and kill them off.
It was so much fun seeing the boys work, get distracted by all the beauties and miracles of nature that they see so clearly at that age, and then get back to work with some friendly reminders from the adults.
