Family Vacation - Part 3 Kirtland, OH

The last leg of our trip was to Kirtland, OH. The early church members came here to 'the Ohio'. From the website  of Historic Kirtland it states, "Come visit Historic Kirtland, a small settlement in northern Ohio, where members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gathered shortly after the Church was founded. Between 1831 and 1838 Joseph Smith and early members of the Church established Church headquarters in Kirtland, built a temple, and laid a foundation of strength for the future."

We only went on the short tour around Historic Kirtland and then to the Kirtland Temple.

What an amazing trip! I love that you got to go and see these things before leaving that part of the country! The pic of Joseph Smiths room really made me stop and look...I could feel how sacred that place is just through your blog---thanks for sharing! xo
